About this program
Middle school is when students begin forming their personal identity, thinking critically about the world, and preparing for the demands of high school. At NAML, we treat these years with the seriousness they deserve, combining a full Texas state academic program with a deep investment in each student's Islamic character.
Every student in grades 6 through 8 is treated as an amanah (a trust from Allah). Our responsibility is to help them leave 8th grade as capable students, practicing Muslims, and thoughtful contributors to their communities.
The program is open to students who successfully complete the Elementary program. School hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. All teachers are highly qualified and state-certified, dedicated to both academic outcomes and student character.
What students study
Core academics follow the Texas state curriculum across Math, Science, English Language Arts, and Social Studies. Students are challenged at grade level with instruction from certified teachers and held to the same rigorous standards as any Texas public school student.
Islamic Education is a daily priority: Quran recitation and Tajweed, Arabic, and Islamic Studies are built into every week. Middle school is precisely the age when students begin to ask deeper questions about faith, and our teachers are prepared to engage those questions seriously rather than deflect them.
Enrichment includes Physical Education, technology integration, and project-based learning that connects subjects across disciplines and gives students real practice in collaboration, presentation, and problem-solving.
[CLIENT TO PROVIDE: specific textbook series or curriculum materials used at the middle school level, and any elective offerings planned for 2026 to 2027.]
Whole-child development
Academic preparation is only part of what middle school needs to accomplish. NAML takes a whole-child view across six areas of development.
Spiritual
Strengthening faith through Quran, Tajweed, and Islamic Studies in a school environment that treats iman as the foundation of everything else.
Psychological and emotional
Building resilience, confidence, and personal responsibility during years when young people are most vulnerable to identity pressure and self-doubt.
Social
Practicing teamwork, communication, and respect across differences, inside a community that holds shared values and expects principled behavior.
Physical
Promoting healthy habits and physical confidence through structured PE and movement integrated into the weekly schedule.
Cognitive
Expanding critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills through rigorous academics that demand more than memorization.
